Cosmos is a course based in the ancient time-period, but connecting to other times, that looks at the development of a coherent intellectual framework that allowed people to make sense of human existence and the context in which humans lived. The cosmological framework that is studied must be explored in terms of its development and principal components. While the temporal focus of the course the ‘ancient’ period, the course also draws explicit and extended connections between the ancient period and the modern world.
