Selected readings from Latin American and Peninsular literature. This survey course is in preparation for the more intensive work in advanced literature courses. Students are trained in the techniques of reading critically for literary meaning and in analyzing the historical evolution of specific literary movements.
Reading and writing capability in Spanish is required.
