HI 470: Historiography

Program
Credits 3

This course provides advanced readings in history to deepen students' understanding of historiography, which deals with the conceptual approaches for studying and writing history. Under faculty supervision students read and discuss a collection of historiographical works, primary sources, and secondary sources that explores the historian's craft and by extension their own practice of it. This course is part of the capstone sequence for history majors, but students in any major are also welcome to take it.
