The second of a two-course sequence on human behavior in the context of the social environment. The primary focus is on assessment using evidence-informed theoretical frameworks to understand individuals as social systems. Particular emphasis is placed on the influence of diversity–including culture, sexual orientation, race, gender, spirituality, physical or cognitive ability–in the development of the person and in the clarification of values.
