The purpose of this course is to help students develop social work knowledge and skills in translating social work practice philosophy into sustainable, ethical social work in diverse situations. The course considers knowledge and skills necessary for generalist practice with an emphasis on work with individuals. A systematic approach to social work concepts, including an appreciation of social work values guiding ethical practice and the promotion of social justice is provided.
